Michael J. Faber is an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Texas State University. He teaches courses in American political institutions, with particular focus on the presidency.  His research interests include congressional elections, presidential rhetoric, political theory, and American political development.
He is the author of Our Federalist Constitution:  The Founder’s Expectations and Contemporary Government  (Scholarly Publishing, 2010). His articles and reviews have appeared in a variety of journals including American Political Thought, Perspectives on Politics, and Politics and Policy. He received his B.A. in the Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences program at Northwestern University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from Indiana University.
