Colleen E. Haight

Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Haight is an Associate Professor of Economics at San Jose State University. She holds a BA in French Literature from UCLA, an MBA in Finance from Notre Dame de Namur University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. Her academic research revolves around different types of regulation and its effect on businesses.  Prior to pursuing an academic career, she spent many years in management in the airline and software industries before returning to school. She also remains extremely committed to her community, and has served on the boards of directors for two mid-sized non-profits providing services for the elderly.
