Mercatus Center at George Mason University

Chris Koopman is a Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, where he is a scholar on the Project for the Study of American Capitalism.  He also serves as the Project’s program manager.  His research interests include economic regulations, competition, and innovation, with a particular focus on public choice and the economics of government favoritism.
Koopman received his J.D. from Ave Maria University and his LL.M. in law and economics at George Mason University.

Though reports of its death may be exaggerated, it is safe to say the BlackBerry era is over. The company just announced that it will stop making its once ubiquitous devices. The biggest smartphone maker in the world just a few years ago is no longer making phones at all.
