Carrie Kerekes

Carrie B. Kerekes is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Florida Gulf Coast University.  She received her Ph.D. in Economics from West Virginia University in 2008.  Her research interests are in the areas of applied microeconomics, public economics, and economic development, with an emphasis on institutions and private property rights.  Dr. Kerekes has published several articles in refereed journals, including the Journal of Law and Economics and the Cato Journal.  She has also published book chapters in edited volumes.  Dr. Kerekes regularly attends the meetings of the Association of Private Enterprise Education (APEE) and the Southern Economic Association (SEA).  She has participated in seminars sponsored by the Foundation for Economic Education, the Institute for Humane Studies, and the Charles Koch Foundation.  Dr. Kerekes has also conducted field research on land titling in rural Peru.
