Larry Salzman is a Senior Attorney with Pacific Legal Foundation and Director of the firm’s Liberty Clinic Project based in Orange County, California.  As part of that project, PLF sponsors a property rights and economic liberty litigation program at Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where Mr. Salzman is supervising attorney and an adjunct professor. Previously, he was an attorney at the Institute for Justice, litigating constitutional cases involving property rights and economic liberty, a staff attorney in the property rights section at PLF, and a judicial clerk for Judge Bohdan A. Futey at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.  In addition to his career in law, Mr. Salzman was a co-founder of an e-commerce company and served for four years as its CEO.
His property rights litigation experience includes eminent domain, civil forfeiture, regulatory takings, and land use.  His economic liberty practice includes challenges to occupational licensing and “certificate of need” laws that infringe on individuals’ right to earn a living free from unnecessary governmental interference.
