Dr. James R. Harrigan is Senior Research Fellow at Strata, in Logan, Utah. He earned his PhD in political science from the Claremont Graduate School and taught political science at the college level for a number of years. He became Dean of the American University of Iraq-Sulaimani, a private university in the Kurdish region of Iraq, and later served as Director of Academic Programs at the Institute for Humane Studies.
 
Dr. Harrigan has written extensively for the popular press, with articles appearing in theWall Street Journal, US News & World Report, Forbes, Investor’s Business Daily, USA Today, and a host of other outlets. He is a fellow of the Lehrman Center and the Miller Center. He currently serves as Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of Political Economy at Utah State University, and CEO and co-founder of FreedomTrust, a non-profit educational institution.
